Entrepreneur. Business. Brand.
I am an entrepreneur.
I can't believe I just typed these words, it almost seems surreal. Becoming an entrepreneur was never part of my plan. My "plan" included finding a job that I would retire from, getting married and having a couple of kids. Well that plan kinda went left after my divorce in 2010; which was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. I was completely consumed with perfection. Perfect wife, perfect marriage, perfect house, perfect job...blah, blah, blah. Playing perfect is tiresome and overrated. I was so focused on having a "dream" life that I was making myself miserable. It took a horrible divorce and losing ten years of hard work for me to gain clarity. I finally had my moment of self-actualization.
Getting divorced sucked! Starting over sucked! However, I have something that I never imagined I would gain: confidence. Confidence so strong that I know I have what it takes to be an entrepreneur, run a business and build a brand. I am not gonna lie, I never thought I would come out on the other side as this no non-sense woman that's a complete savage about my happiness. Despite being in the beginning stages of this new journey I am super excited to use my talents to help others. I've spent too long fighting with myself trying to do what's considered "right" and not what makes me happy.

I'm gonna make it happen
Entering this new chapter in my life and it feels amazing! I am looking forward to what is to come and how I can progress. It took me 35 years to reach this point and I wouldn't change a thing about my journey. Blogging was something I did as a hobby but it has opened my eyest to so many things one of them being female entrepreneurs. Seriously, I really admire so many female entrepreneurs! There are so many women out here getting it done! If you have time you should really check out a few of my faves:
Tasha Robinson – Imperfect Concepts, KYSE & Business Bestie
Jheanell Adams – Jollie Bloom & Jheanell Adams
Claire Summers – Fashion Bomb Daily & The Bomb Life
Dionne Dean – Styled By Dionne Dean
I will be successful and inspire other women just as the ladies I have listed about have inspired me. My growth during this process has only shown me that anything is possible.
How have you moved on and reclaimed your happiness?

I am a 30-something business professional that loves taking the term “office attire” to a new level. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY but was thrown into the country life at the age of 6 when my family moved to NC. I currently live in the Magic City, also known as Miami. I do miss the fall and winter months but I do love being able to wear flip flops in December!
So what does a 30-something newly divorced introvert that has a penchant for shopping do? She starts a personal style blog. I am far from a fashion expert but I do know what I like and what works for me. I would describe my personal style as classic chic; I love timeless looks with a trendy mix.
I hope you will join me on this style journey and watch how my style evolves as I stay true to my curves and radiate confidence.
Spring has finally sprung in Toronto and love is in the air! I would love to think we have a little to do with the improved romantic lives of entrepreneurs this season.
